![]() If you are purely staying at Disney World this may not be for you and your party. This is the best option if you intend to explore what Orlando and Florida has to offer. Costs will vary depending on your length of stay but you have a lot of options on what type of vehicle to choose. Renting a car obviously means that you need to do the driving upon your arrival at Orlando. It is best to book a rental car before your vacation to get the best deal. Rental CarĬost: Varies depending on your vacation durationĪs with all major airports around the world there are plenty of rental car options at MCO. The only issue you might have with this option is sharing a van and being in close proximity to another travelling party. You reserve and take a Mears shuttle van to Disney World that you share with other guests also heading to Disney World for their vacation. Mears Shared Shuttle (at time of writing this service was closed)Ĭost: $25 per Adult (one way) & $20 per child (one way)Ĭurrently not in operation but these shared shuttle services from Mears can work quite well. We have used Uber in the past to get around Orlando and found it very easy to use and the service quick and efficient. As with taxis the journey time may be affected by the traffic on the roads as you look to depart from MCO, but the costs are cheaper overall. This means you can use the UberX and UberXl services (which is great if you require a child’s car seat). Tipping: $1 – $2 per bag (if the driver assists you with your bags)Īll Uber services are now allowed at Orlando Airport. ![]() The only real negative to using a taxi is that the cost can be quite a bit more expensive compared to Uber. The journey time will only really be affected by the traffic on the roads as you look to get to your Walt Disney World Resort. Taxis are widely available from Orlando Airport (MCO). Journey Duration: Approximately 32 minutes We won’t go into this option in too much detail as we don’t recommend that you consider using public transport. Although public transport is the cheapest option it is also the slowest form of transport between MCO and Disney World. ![]()
